You will have to purchase a camera to hook something like an Azden 100LT wireless lapel mic system into.
Also cosider a hand held digital recorder. You can place it near the person speaking and will pick up better than a camera mic, which will pick up a lot of white noise from the room. Then you just feed the sound into your editing system and match it with the video.
You may want to consider checking our your local public access channel. They should have a studio that you take some sort of orientation class, pay a small fee, and you would be able to use their equipment! You'd just have to make a 30 minute piece to play on public access. That way you can use their lighting/video/audio equipment!
Hope this helps

No cameras come with lavalear (sp?) microphones. What you need to do is get a camera that has audio input and a lavalear microphone set that includes receiver and at least one microphone and transmitter.

Most consumer cameras will not have an audio input.

I recommend the Sony HDR-HC7 it records in 1080i and has an audio input!!! Best part is its only around $1300.
