Look for it on eBay first to get an idea of price.
try walmart they have video cameras for like $299.00
Go on Ebay or search it oh Yahoo and see what comes up.
Your best bet is specialty stores, search them on the web. Also, if you decide to just search for the divices them selves, search: electronic bugs, or search: spy. Both of those will come up with search results for very small camras and microphones.
Sorry to say, my bet would be that you wouldn’t be able to find a mini camra for under $1000. Bugs (mini microphones) should cost as much though, I would say about $250
