* mother board – foxconn g 33 m that supports
intel 1333 fsb …
* processor – intel core 2 duo 2.66 ghz 1333 fsb …
* graphic card – nvidia 8500 gt 512 mb
(best value for money) … or higher if u
have more money to spend or else u need it simple use
the onboard graphic card in ur mother board g 33 m …
* psu – 450 w power supply …
* lcd – choose one from the viewsonic value series (va series)
better if u can choose a wide screen version …
* sound card – u already have two way high definition
sound card in ur mother board (the foxconn g 33 m) with
6 ports on the back and 2 ports to be connected to the
front panel audio of ur casing …
The recording software (Logic
) and audio controller are probably more important than the computer hardware in this case.
) Big screens are NICE to edit all your tracks.
Hardware:
Raw processing power is most important. Go for a 775 chipset with 1333mhz FSB and pick an high speed Core2Duo or Core2Quad. Add lots of RAM
Videocard can be crap, but it should be able to drive 2 DVI ports and 30 inch 2560×1600 displays (any modern card since the Geforce 7300 does this
Soundcard may be crap as well, you don’t want to use the internal sound card if you are serious!
It MUST have Firewire ports. 2 FireWire 400 6-pin ports is minimum. The more the better (you can daisy-chain FW devices, but many have just 1 port), and best it has FireWire 800 as well. Firewire will interface with your sound cards!
6-pin ports are prefered as they can power your external soundcards without aditional AC/DC bricks.
An 24inch iMac is a perfect all-in-one for your wishes.
Buy a good FW audio controller. Browse M-Audio, Phonic and companies like that for good FireWire sound recording/playback controllers.
